Old Smith Road Drainage

Old Smith Road Drainage Improvements and Paving of the unimproved 0.46 miles of road. The scope of work for this project is to improve and install a drainage system for Old Smith Road as well as paving of 2,428 LF (0.46 miles) of unimproved road. Tree work has already been performed under a different project, prior to start of the road construction. The attached set of plans include plan and profile drawings showing the proposed drainage improvements along the road with all inverts and frame elevations marked accordingly. In addition, standard details plan (including paving and curbing details) and an erosion and sediment control plan are included. Construction will follow the design intent and specifications. All material, to include drainage piping, catch basins, gravel, stone, as well as asphalt, will be procured by the contractor (asphalt by S&S Paving). Labor for the drainage improvements will follow the Town’s standard bid process. Paving has already been contracted to the lowest truck and lay bidder, currently S&S Paving. NOTE: if blasting is needed in the areas where drainage improvements are targeted and cannot be re-directed, the designated contractor will make subcontracting provisions with prior authorization from the Town(s).
