Description | First-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Statements should be emailed to: eugene.facilities@eugeneor.gov. Bids will not be accepted after the bid closing time and date. Bids shall be valid for 60 days after opening unless otherwise specified in the bid specifications. A substantial completion of 75 days is expected with contractor's to determine start date. Estimated cost is expected to be less than $500,000 PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project is located at 300 Country Club Road, the existing City of Eugene Police Department Headquarters. The project consists of removal of existing curbs, existing landscaped islands, existing pavements, and existing trees and vegetation to expand and reconfigure the fleet parking lot to maximize parking. Improvements include new curbs; curb/gutter; new asphalt vehicle paving to expand the parking lot and restore areas of pavement failure; new trees, landscaping, and irrigation; new stormwater raingarden; and relocation of existing site lighting. Pavement seal coating of the project area and the remaining fleet parking area are additive Alternates. BID SECURITY Bidders shall submit a Bid Security for ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount, plus any additive alternates, by one of the following methods: Attach a scanned version of a paper bid bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Savings and Loan Secured Check, or irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a financial institution; the validity of which will be verified after the bid opening. Alternatively, use an electronic bid bond service to submit a link which includes verification of the bid bond. NON-RESIDENT BIDDERS In accordance with ORS 279A.120, Bidders will be required to indicate on the Bid Form whether the Bidder is an Oregon resident. CONTRACTOR'S REGISTRATION The City will not consider Bids unless the Bidder (Contractor) is registered with the Construction Contractors Board as required by ORS 701. ASBESTOS ABATEMENT Asbestos work is not anticipated. If asbestos conditions are discovered by Contractor, Contractor shall immediately notify City. OWNER'S RIGHT TO REJECT PROPOSALS The City of Eugene may hold Bids for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from date bids are due for the purpose of reviewing bid documents and investigating qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding Contract. The City of Eugene reserves the right to reject any Bid for good cause upon finding that it is in the best interest of the City to do so. 025-601315, 2023 - 1012 |
