Utility Extension to Serve Truck Stop on GA Highway 49

A sewer line will be extended, and an existing water main will be tapped to serve a new truck stop on Highway 49. The sewer line will be placed in an easement along the Georgia Southern Railroad. The project will include the installation of 2,586 L.F. of 10" SDR-35 PVC sewer pipe, 502 L.F. of 10" D.I. sewer pipe, 200 L.F. flanged D.I. sewer pipe constructed above ground on piers, and 120 L.F. of jack and bore under Highway 49 with a 16" casing. In addition to the pipe, 12 manholes will be installed. An 8"x2" tapping sleeve with valve and box and a water service connection with a 2" meter shall be installed to serve the new truck stop. Finally, work includes any ancillary items necessary to complete the utility extensions.
