Replacement of County Bridge #672.2 (Structure #1100-007) Carrying Yardville-Groveville Road/Church Street (CR609) Over Doctor's Creek located in Township of Hamilton, Mercer County

The work to be performed under this contract includes the demolition and removal of the existing Bridge #672.2 and the construction of the replacement bridge with a single span structure supported on full height abutments. The superstructure will consist of steel welded plate girders with a composite reinforced concrete deck with a 3/8” protective deck overlay. The substructures will be founded on piles with permanent steel sheeting scour protection. The proposed roadway cross section at the bridge will consist of two (2) 12-foot travel lanes, two (2) 4-foot shoulders and two (2) 5-foot sidewalks. Roadway work includes removal of the existing pavement (concrete and asphalt), full depth HMA pavement reconstruction as well as milling and repaving and installation of guide rail systems, new striping, drainage reconstruction, and concrete sidewalk, concrete curbs, and excavation.
