Construction Rebuild of West Lake Junior High School

The project will consist of the complete rebuild of West Lake Junior High School. The new West Lake Junior High located at 3400 South 3450 West, West Valley replaces an existing school, on the same site, damaged in the 2020 earthquake. The existing building is being demolished as part of a separate project for the GSD. The replacement school is based on a prototype middle school plan recently completed for the Jordan School District at the Hidden Valley and West Jordan Middle Schools. The 2-story structure is a mixture of load bearing masonry and steel BRB support systems and is roughly 196,000 square feet. The building is organized along a connecting main spine with the CTE, performing and visual arts, athletics, and building support spaces on the north, and the learning communities, media center, administration offices, and teacher hub on the south. Site amenities for the 19-acre property will include a reworking of the green space around the building, a running track and play courts, plus three (3) separate parking lots.

Division 09 -	Finishes, Plaster and Gypsum Board, Ceilings, Flooring, Painting and Coating.
Division 21 -	Fire Suppression.
Division 22 -	Plumbing.
Division 23 -	Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Instrumentation and Control for HVAC, HVAC Air Distribution.
Division 26 -	Electrical, Lighting.
