Description

Plans call for the construction of an affordable housing complex and charter school. The project consists of two multi-family housing apartment buildings over a one-story tenant classroom area. Direct all bids/inquiries to the general contractor. This project IS NOT subject to Davis Bacon or California Prevailing Wages. All minority owned, women owned and section three businesses are encouraged to bid on this job. There will be no discrimination on this project due to race, color, religion, sex, national origin or disabilities All bidders submitting proposals on this work shall first examine the site and all conditions thereon. All questions concerning the bid or the drawings are to be submitted to Pacific West Builders, Inc. dba Idaho Pacific West Builders, Inc., per written request for information ("RFI"). Base bid shall be per plans and specifications. Value Engineering is welcomed; however all value engineering options shall be presented as bid alternates for consideration. Note that this construction project will be covered by a Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP) paid for by PWB. A CCIP is a contractor controlled insurance program under which the General Contractor [PWB] purchases insurance on behalf of itself and all CCIP-eligible subcontractors of any tier for all the on-site labor performed by each enrolled subcontractor. The CCIP replaces each subcontractor's individual insurance with the coverages provided by the CCIP: Workers' Compensation, General Liability and Umbrella. Enrollment in the CCIP program will be mandatory for all eligible subcontractors providing labor at this jobsite. Submit your bid as a gross bid with your own insurance coverage included. Do not exclude insurance from your bid. If selected, you will need to enroll in the CCIP following the process described in the manual, using the Program's on-line administrative system [CAP]. Once you have entered the required information about your insurance policies into CAP, it will calculate the appropriate deduction from your contract bid to account for the elimination of coverage under your policies. This amount will be the minimum deduction from your total contract cost. A final deduct amount will be determined once your work on the site is complete. The deduct represents an expense you will not incur, and allows PWB to pay the full cost of the CCIP. Subcontractors to provide a copy of insurance 'declaration' page showing current mod-factor. Addendum A-B have been issued as of 1-19-2023.
