Description | As of August 16, 2022, all of the bids were rejected. No definite date for the rebid. The work shall include furnishing all the required permits, materials, equipment, machinery, tools, apparatus, means of transportation, and labor necessary to complete the following work: The construction of a truck escort parking lot expansion, security parking redesign, and necessary stormwater expansion as shown in the Civil Plans. Partial sets will NOT be issued. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. All inquiries concerning Bid Document information (i.e. requests for bid package, planholder list, etc.) shall be directed to Blake Furbee via email at bfurbee@gorteng.com or by phone at (850)896-0262. Guarantee will be required with each bid as follows: At least 5% of the amount of bid in the form of a certified check or bid bond payable to the Panama City Port Authority, Port Panama City, Florida Bids, accompanied by the Public Entity Crime Statement and by a Bid Bond, and Tax Savings Agreement must be submitted upon the standard forms included in the Contract Documents. Also, please include the unit price for any components identified on the form; these prices will be used in negotiating additions or deletions in the contract amount. The Port reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts of bids to waive any and all bid informalities and to award the bid determined to be in the best interest of the Port. In addition to the discretionary powers vested in the Port, and not in lieu thereof, the Port reserves the right to reject a bid based on the absence of adequate budgetary allowances for the Project. The Port reserves the right to negotiate the terms of the Contract, including pricing and changes to the Plans and Specifications, with the lowest and best bidder. Should negotiations with the lowest and best bidder fail to result in a contract, the lowest and best bidder may be deemed disqualified and the Port may enter into negotiations with the next lowest bidder. This process may continue until negotiations with all bidders fail or a contract is achieved. The Port reserves the right to accept the lowest and best bid for a period of up to ninety (90) days. Bidders wishing to tour the site will have to meet Port security requirements for access to be granted (valid picture ID, current vehicle registration and evidence of insurance). |
