Description

1. Abatement of environmental hazardous materials to be included in contract, per direction of District Environmental Consultant. 2. Removal and replacement of a portion of the south parking lot, restriping, and erosion repair along the edge of the creek. 3. Removal of failed retaining wall along creek, erosion correction, and installation of new retaining wall. 4. Removal of a portion of the existing chain link fence next to the creek up to the front entry of the school and replacement with new wrought iron fence. 5. Install new DISD Marquee Sign, with power and data connecting to the school building, between south parking and creek. 6. Renovation of existing entry canopy, inclusive of structural changes, new finishes, and new lighting. Removal of existing site bollards by entry and installation of new lighted bollards. 7. Installation of new secured entry vestibule, with new interior finishes, new interior storefront, new chandelier. 8. Renovation of Reception area with all new finishes, new reception desk, new seating. 9. Removal of existing kitchen and selected demolition as needed of the existing cafeteria and surrounding site work – new Addition to expand and renovate Cafeteria with all new finishes, all new kitchen inside existing building, new accessible route, site work, and landscape/irrigation. 10. Removal of steps and raised concrete in the north parking lot, small amount of new paving work, and restriping of north parking lot. 11. Two new Additions on the West end of the school, for new Mechanical Rooms. 12. Removal of existing sidewalks, steps, and walkway canopies on the west side of the school. Regrading, new steps with new entry canopies, new sidewalks, new accessible ramps, new walkway canopies on the west side of the school. Small area of chain link fence and gate replacement. 13. West parking area: restripe parking lot, including new accessible parking spaces, new site lighting poles. 14. Replace Fire Alarm System in school. 15. Lighting: Replace all interior and exterior lights with LED, install all new Lighting Controls. 16. Provide new/additional security cameras. 17. Install upgrade to Access Control System. 18. Replace, or add new, educational casework in all Classrooms in the one-story wing of the school. 19. Replace teaching surfaces in all Classrooms in the old wing of the school. Remove all chalkboards. Replace with markerboards and tackboards. 20. All Classrooms in the old wing of the school: remove existing ceilings and install new ceilings. Ceilings in the hallways and gymnasium of the old wing of the school to be replaced. 21. Remove flooring in all corridors in the old wing of the school and install all new flooring. 22. All exterior doors in the old wing of the school to be replaced with all new hardware. 23. All exterior and interior existing surfaces in the old wing of the school are to be repainted. 24. All exterior waterproofing and sealant/caulk joints in the old wing of the school is to be replaced. 25. All exterior windows/storefront/curtainwall in the old wing of the school is to be replaced. 26. Install all new security screens to first floor windows. 27. Roof: existing roof to remain. Roof work includes raised curbs/flashing where windows are being replaced, new raised insulated curbs & new flashing where MEP or other equipment sits on the roof, Tie-ins between roof on new additions and existing adjacent roof – as required. All work done on roof is to be warranted, and to be completed in a manner that maintains any existing warranties. 28. MEP: Replace exhaust fans, replace chilled water piping, provide new DDC Controls, replace VAV units, replace rooftop DX units, replace heating water piping, replace lined ductwork, replace unit ventilators, new VFDs on pumps, replace chilled water pumps, replace air-cooled chiller, replace domestic cold water piping, replace hose bibbs, replace all natural gas piping. 29. Landscape repairs, new landscape, and limited landscape irrigation in areas surrounding site renovation, repair, and new construction.
