Snow Removal and De-Icing Services for SSA Headquarters

The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, supplies, and equipment to perform snow removal and deicing services at the SSA’s Headquarters’ Complex. The Headquarters’ Complex consists of approximately 11 miles of roadway, 72 acres of parking lot and 22 miles of sidewalk. The Contractor shall remove snow and ice from all roadways, entrances, landings, steps, sidewalks and pedestrian walkways, parking lots, driveways, ramps and loading docks. The Contractor shall provide complete removal of ice and snow accumulation down to clear, clean, dry pavement and surfaces. The Contractor shall clear pavements to full widths to prevent melting runoff from re-freezing. The Contractor shall clear parking lots from edge to edge with corner spaces cleared and functional. The Contractor shall keep sidewalk easements clear and open including all handicap ramps and curb cuts. The Contractor shall keep all storm drains and fire hydrants clear of snow and ice and remain accessible. The Contractor shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective completion of all services.
