Parking Lot Drainage and Paving

As of July 5, 2023, project was awarded to Lehigh Asphalt Paving & Construction, Inc. awarded amount is $752,890. The Pottsville Area School District will receive sealed bids for Parking Lot Repaving improvements for the Pottsville Area School District, 1501 Laurel Boulevard, Pottsville, Pennsylvania 17901. Bidders are hereby notified that this project is subject to the PA Prevailing Wage Rate regulations and Contractors will be required to pay no less than the prevailing wage as indicated within the schedules. The work consists of a single prime contract. Such construction project can generally be described as: PARKING LOT REPAVING CONTRACT NO. 23-1 (Single Prime Contract) The work is being bid as one contract that is broken down into several bids (work areas). Actual contract award will be based upon the District's selection of work area(s) so as not to exceed the funding budget. The work areas sizes are approximately as follows and will need to be confirmed by the Contractor: Work Area 1 - 85,720 SF (9,525 SY) Work Area 2 - 111727 SF (12,415 SY) Work Area 3 - 26963 SF (3,000 SY) Work Area 4 - 25007 SF (2,780 SY) Work Area 5 - 12741 SF (1420 SY) Work Area 6 - 4810 SF (535 SY) The work generally includes: Removal of identified concrete curbs and sidewalks, existing wearing course and base course (milling and tapered milling of some areas), removal of existing catch basins where noted, preparation of damaged sub-base, proof rolling of the sub-base and compacted earth. Provision of new concrete curbs and sidewalks where indicated, pavement base drainage, catch basins (where noted), base course, wearing course, parking space striping, curb painting, ADA parking space striping and signage, miscellaneous other traffic painting, crack sealing, and other miscellaneous site items, complete and ready for use and in compliance with the latest codes and regulations. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope with the Contract Name and Number clearly written on the face of the envelope. All interested Bidders will be required to pay a non-refundable service fee, in check form or credit card, in the amount of thirty dollars ($30.00), payable to Levkulic Associates, for each set of digital bidding documents. Only complete bid packages will be issued by the Design Professional. Bid packages will only be issued in digital format. Addenda, if any, will be issued only to those persons whose name and address are on record with the Design Professional as having obtained the Contract Documents. All Bids shall be irrevocable for a period of ninety (90) days after the bid opening date, for the purposes of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding the contract. All bids shall be accompanied by a ten (10%) percent bid guaranty, payable to the Pottsville Area School District. Bid security shall be in one of the following forms only: Certified check (drawn on a bank authorized to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania) or bid bond. Lack of bid guarantee may be cause for rejection of submitted bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor & Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract price. A one-year Maintenance Bond shall also be required. Cost of bonds to be included in the Contractor's base bid. The Pottsville Area School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
