Parkview Road Pedestrian Bridge

The project includes the construction of Site Improvements consisting of: modifying the existing reinforced concrete bridge abutments to enable the installation of a natural gas main (by others) and the bearing/beam seats in order to accommodate the placement of a new prefabricated Pedestrian Bridge (procured separately by the Borough) with a span of approximately 76-feet. Additional Site Improvements generally include: the fabrication and installation of handrails, the construction of new concrete sidewalk, repair of eroded area of embankment immediately adjacent to the existing bridge abutment, and providing/maintaining temporary sedimentation and erosion control facilities. The project also includes: providing an adequate crane to lift and set the bridge structure, providing the necessary temporary traffic control and coordination to unload the prefabricated Pedestrian Bridge upon delivery to the site, complete the assembly of the two (2) sections of the bridge structure and then erecting or setting the bridge structure into final position, and furnishing and installing the necessary anchorage hardware and appurtenances.
