Culvert Replacement - Park Road

Bids will be opened at the Town Board Meeting that morning. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days from the date of the bid opening. The Town Board of the Town of Dewey reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids received, to waive any minor defects or irregularities that may be found in the bids, and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the Town of Dewey. The project shall consist of the following: 1) Excavation work to remove the existing culvert and replace it with a 48" diameter culvert that is 140' in length. The new culvert shall extend an additional 20' beyond the end of the present culvert on both ends. The new culvert shall have rock placed around both end openings with erosion control placed on the side slopes. There shall be a minimum of 12" of compacted 3/4 "road base material at the road surface. Back filled materials shall be compacted at a minimum of every 1 foot of material. 2) The work shall meet the DNR requirements for "putting proper cofferdams in place to isolate the work area and using sediment treatment when dewatering the work area to avoid sediment discharges into the lake". 3) The bid price shall include the cost for the following; the cost of all the work to remove the existing culvert and replace it with a new 140' HDPE culvert, all signage and traffic control, the cost for any additional road base material, fill, black dirt, rock, erosion control materials, and any other materials necessary to complete the project. 4) The bid price shall not include the cost of the culvert or the cost to re-blacktop the road surface 1) The replacement of the existing culvert on Park Road just south of 4399 Park Road
