Description

Interpretations will be made in the form of written Addenda to Contract Documents, which Addenda shall become a part of the Contract. Not later than one (1) day prior to date fixed for opening of proposals, Addenda will be emailed to all parties recorded as having obtained Contract Documents. Failure of any Bidder to receive any such addenda shall not relieve Bidder from any obligations under his proposal as submitted. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect The Owner is the Town of Windsor Locks. The Engineer is Barton & Loguidice, LLC (B&L). The project site is located on Center Street, Windsor Locks, Connecticut. This project consists of pool repairs described on the Contract Plans and Special Provisions. The Town of Windsor Locks reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or options, to waive any technicality in any bid or part thereof, and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Windsor Locks No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of bid opening Bid security in the form of a surety bond, certified or bank check, or a letter of credit, payable to the Town of Windsor Locks is required in the sum of 5 percent (5%) of the base Bid. Bid security shall be subject to the condition provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Upon award of the contract, the successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond equal to 100% of the contract price, in accordance with the Contract Documents. All bonds must be from sureties registered in the State of Connecticut. This project generally consists of all necessary work to complete improvements as described on the Contract Plans and Specifications for the base bid. Improvements defective concrete repair, expansion joint repair and other miscellaneous work as shown on the plans or directed by the Owner All bonds and insurance required by the Contract Documents to be purchased and maintained by Owner or Contractor shall be obtained from surety or insurance companies that are duly licensed or authorized in the jurisdiction in which the Project is located to issue bonds or insurance policies for the limits and coverages so required. Such surety and insurance companies shall also meet such additional requirements and qualifications as may be provided in the Supplementary Conditions.
