Description

Bennett County Hospital Remodel/Addition A single contract will be awarded for all labor, materials, and services as drawn and specified in the Contract Documents prepared by Williams & Associates Architecture, Inc. of Spearfish, South Dakota. Bids shall be submitted on the form included in the Project Manual / Specifications and furnished by the Architect. The project includes the demolition of approximately 3,850 SF and the remodel of approximately 8,040 SF of the existing Bennett County hospital and approximately 15,800 SF of new construction. The project includes constructing an over framed roof over the existing remaining hospital to accommodate mechanical and electrical systems. The work will be completed in phases with sub-phases as required in order to maintain the operation of the existing hospital and clinic and maintain infection control. Infection control measures to reduce or eliminate cross contamination between the construction area, construction access and the existing functions of the building will be required. Bidding documents will be available on Monday, October 31 from the Architect by digital access/file sharing access. Request for documents shall be made through the Architect at telephone No. (605) 642-2009 or via email to Morgan Turbiville at morgan@williamsassociatesarch.com. E-mail subject line to read "Bennett County Hospital Bidding Document Request". Within body of e-mail include, Company's name, address, phone number, and contact person name, title and e-mail. Paper sets will be available upon request. The Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis by base bid. All bids shall be held firm for thirty (30) days after Bid opening. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. Bennett County Hospital reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any or all irregularities and informalities in the bids received and to accept any responsible bid. Bid Alternates may be accepted or rejected in any order or in any combination beneficial to the owner. Written notice of the award of contract will be given within thirty (30) days. ACTUAL FLOOR AREA: BUILDING ADDITION 23,089 S.F Per owner all bids were rejected, and this project will re-bid at a later time and date TBD. The project is located at Bennett County Hospital and Nursing Home, 102 Major Allen Street, Martin, South Dakota 57551. The project consists of approximately 5,000 SF of building removal, 15,100 SF of new construction, approximately 7,900 SF of interior gut and remodel and 1,800 SF of minor interior remodel. Hospital services include Emergency Room triage, Imaging (CT & X-Ray), 15 patient rooms, lab, physical and occupational therapy, home health and support services. The hospital does not provide surgery or birthing services. The existing CT and X-Ray systems will be relocated to the new construction areas by the owner. The project includes some site construction including a 27 space parking lot, street edge parking, utility connections, and modified main existing parking to accommodate an Emergency drive. The not-to-exceed total budget for the project is $16,000,000 including but not limited to construction, CMAR fees, material testing, and all labor and materials for a complete project. Delivering the project within budget is essential.
