Rehabilitate Parking Lot at Killeen-Fort Hood Regional Airport (KFHRA)

Project consist of preparation of pavement surfaces, sealing, and restriping of all markings within the Long and Short Term parking lots, entrances and exits, exit lane leading to payment plaza at the Killeen-Fort Hood Regional Airport (KFHRA). 1. Develop phasing plan and deliver to Airport for acceptance. Airport managers, in coordination with the Parking Lot Management Contractor (Republic Parking), will be responsible for reviewing the plan, providing feedback, and final acceptance of the plan. 2. Contractor will implement approved phasing plan and vehicle controls. Contractor will provide barricades or control devices as necessary. 3. Pavement surfaces will be prepared prior to application of slurry sealant. (crack sealing, spall repair, minor repairs, sweeping, etc 4. Application of slurry sealcoat. 5. After appropriate cure time, contractor will reapply all pavement markings a) All white markings will include TYPE III reflective glass beads b) Handicap markings will include blue boxes and white stencil c) Contractor will work with Airport to redesign small area in long term parking lot currently striped to accept large semi-trucks. We will convert that area back to normal sized stalls. d) All stripes will be 4” minimum width 6. Pavement Area: Approximately 611,113 Sq. Ft.
