Silver Creek East Branch Channel Restoration Project

The general location of the project is within the Silver Creek stream channel beginning on the Mt. Hope High School campus continuing upstream to approximately 136 feet northwest of the cul- de-sac of Leila Jean Drive and approximately 1,000 feet north of the intersection of Leila Jean Drive and Chestnut Street. The work addressed by this contract includes but is not limited to, creating and erecting two signs that identify the RIDEM application number for the project; mobilization; preparation of staging and access areas; coordination with the Town on the removal of steel storage containers (Conex-type boxes) from high school staging area; limited vegetation pruning along channel banks and for machinery access; installation, re-installation, and removal of turbidity curtain( per plan); installation and removal of compost filter sock; installation and removal of temporary construction mats as conditions may warrant; removal of logs and other obstructions from river channel; removal and lawful disposal of accumulated sediment from river channel; handling, stockpiling, transporting, and lawfully disposing of any removed sediment determined by Beta Group to be contaminated; and installation of stone check dam in existing storm water swale/basin. The Work also includes loaming and seeding lawn areas and restoring driveways disturbed by construction activities; site cleaning; demobilization; and all incidentals required to complete the work of this contract to the satisfaction of the Town of Bristol. The Town has obtained landowner authorization and will notify all landowners of the selected Bidder and scheduled date of mobilization. Work will occur in residential yards and on the High School property, so limits of disturbance and access routes must be strictly adhered to.
