Description

As of December 9, 2022 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on December 13, 2022. The work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, electric power, and traffic control to accomplish the work in accordance with specifications for the installation of 1,710 ft of storm sewer and appurtenances along Watt St., S. Combs Ave. from Watt St. to Maple St., and Maple St. from S. Combs Ave. to St. Louis Road. The City will be responsible for supplying all materials, trucking for rock, and restoration. As an alternate the City will also provide all trucking related to removal of all excavated materials. All work must be constructed in accordance with the City of Collinsville Code of Ordinances and specifications listed within bid documents. All bids must be made on the forms furnished by the City, and the entire set of documents submitted intact. Incomplete bid submittals will not be considered. All proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond on the form contained in the proposal, bank cashier's check, bank draft, or certified check, payable to the City of Collinsville, for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The successful bidder shall execute a contract bond, required to pay not less than the Prevailing Wage Rates, and enter into a Project Labor Agreement. The City of Collinsville reserves the right to not open a sole bid and to waive, or not to waive, any irregularities in the bids and to determine which is the lowest and best responsible bid. Each bid shall be placed in a sealed envelope endorsed "2022 Concrete Replacement Program, Project, CIP #M021-310. The proposed project limits begin at the intersection of St. Louis Road and Maple Street, head east along Maple Street to the intersection of Maple Street and South Combs Avenue, then northeast along South Combs Avenue to the intersection of Watt Street and South Combs Avenue; finally heading east on Watt Street to where the project ends. The project scope consists of excavation and construction/installation of the proposed storm sewer consisting of 360-LF of 12-IN RCP; 485-LF of 24-IN RCP; 855-LF of 30-IN RCP; seven 4-FT diameter manholes; nine inlets; the removal of concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter; the removal of asphaltic concrete; and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the work described above according to the plans, specifications, and special provisions. Pavement or appurtenances shall not be removed that do not lay within the approved trench limits, that is required to be excavated for the installation of the proposed storm sewers, manholes and inlets. During construction, any damages to sidewalks, street pavement, private driveways, and combination curb and gutter located outside the edges of the approved trench limits shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to replace.
