2023 Paving Project

Sealed proposals will be received by Kline Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, 30 Fifth Street, P.O. Box 338, Kelayres, PA, 18231. The Project consists of, but is not limited to, resurface 9 sections of streets with 180lbs/SqYd 9.5MM Wearing Course (1 1/2" minimum) and where necessary 90lbs/SqYd 9.5 MM Leveling Course. All ancillary work required for the completion of the Project shall also be provided. Contractor will state in bid which sections need a Leveling Course. Project Bid Packages are available by contacting Township Supervisor at 570-233- 4834 text message or phone. Packages contains forms, map and additional details of scope of work. Proposals MUST be on forms furnished by the Township. The proposal is subject to the PA Prevailing Wage Act and PennDOT pre-qualified contractors are required for this project. Also, all bidders are required to comply with Act 127 of 2012, the Public Works Employment Verification Act. The successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. A certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to Kline Township, must accompany the bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price with a corporate surety approved by the Township. The successful bidder will be required to comply with the Kline Township Contractual Liability and Insurance Requirements as contained within the Contract bid documents. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any defects r informalities in the bids, and to accept any bid it should deem to be in the best interest of the Township. The Township also reserves the right to delete any item or portion of an item contained in the Contract at its discretion once bids are received.
