Description

The intention for Jaycee Park Repurposing Project is to create a focal point that is a symbol of the LGBTQ community for the City. The main features of the project include 6 lighted palms that at night will reflect the colors of the rainbow flag, along with a Palm sculpture that has the rainbow color fronds. The other construction elements include electrical work to relocate the existing holiday lighting infrastructure farther south in the park and the associated electrical work for the sculpture and lighting as shown on the plans. The project also includes the miscellaneous landscaping an irrigation shown beyond the six palms. The landscape improvements are shown in detail in the construction drawings and include the following bid items: - Six Date Palms - The remaining landscape elements identified on the landscape plans: - Add Alternate 1: All elements of the Tree Disposition Plan shall be bid as an Add Alternate. The City will secure the Broward County Permit for this work. - The City will be responsible for all tree/palm removals. Lighting Plan identifies the location of the following elements: - 12 Palm accent up lights. - Flagpole spotlight. - 4 GFIs. Electrical work for the project shall include all items shown in the construction drawings to provide the following deliverables including but not limited to: - Relocation of the existing Holiday Lighting electrical posts to the new location identified within the Park. - Providing electricity to the Palm Structure - Providing electricity to the up lights for the Palm trees and the proposed GFI’s in the Park.
