Description | To demolish and dispose of the existing storage structure and concrete slab, design a new foundation, footers, metal storage building, and construct the concrete foundation, footers and metal storage building. The City is looking for a Design-build, turn-key project. The metal storage will meet the following criteria: • Size, 30’x50’ metal building with eave gutters and down spouts with the following features: eighteen (18’) eave height; 2:12 roof pitch; and desired 26-gauge material. Include light gauge jambs for two (2) personnel and one (1) overhead door. The building shall have a minimum wind load rating of 170 miles per hour (mph) and meet all other Florida Building Code (FBC), 2017 edition, parameters. The Risk Category for the purpose of design shall be III. The Ultimate Design Wind Speeds maps is attached. The City lies close or between the 160 and 170 mph contours and has decided on a design meeting at a minimum the 170-mph standard. • Concrete foundation (footings) and anchor bolt design to be signed and sealed by a Professional Engineer licensed in Florida • Finished floor elevation shall be nine (9”) inches above existing driveway elevation • Two metal, insulated, impact doors with grade 1 hardware, with a wind load rating of a minimum of 170 MPH per Notice of Acceptance • One 14’x14’ roll up door with a wind load rating of a minimum of 170 MPH impact rated • Lighting, light emitting diode (LED) for the interior of the building and at each door plus emergency and exit (interior and exterior) lighting required by code • Code minimum electrical conduit and outlets, FBC, 2017 edition • Code minimum insulation, FBC, 2017 edition • Minimum airflow required by code, FBC, 2017 edition |
