Description | As of March 8, 2023, information regarding an award is not available. At this time, it is not known if an award has been made. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ................... The Berkeley campus of the University of California requests that interested Architectural firms submit written statements of qualifications to provide architectural and parking design services, as well as a range of design consultants including but not limited to Traffic Analysis, Estimating, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Structural Engineering for the new Bancroft Parking Structure's design criteria documents. The Design Team will create bridging documents that define a robust design intent for the new parking structure along with performance and design specifications. The basis of design effort will including Feasibility and Schematic Design phases, followed by a series of campus review meetings, and will conclude with documentation at 50% Design Development. The Design Team will study feasibility and planning alternatives for the specific site and develop multiple schematic design options for consideration by the University. We will look to your team to imbed best practices as foundational ideas in at least six (6) initial schematic design options. The schematic design options will then evolve through an iterative process as preferences are explored, questions and solutions arise, and economic impacts are considered collaboratively with the client. We are seeking a design team that can create and present multiple iterations in quick succession, explain the implications of the revisions, and repeat the cycle until solutions are agreed upon. Questions about this RFQ or the project should be submitted using electronically no later than 5:00p.m. PST on May 17, 2022. Estimated Construction Cost: $ 11.4 million- $20 million *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
