18th Street Sanitary Sewer Renewal

17-27-43 170, 7507 The Work under this Project consists of the replacement of the existing sanitary sewer system within the 18th Street corridor between Seaboard Avenue and D Street, and the replacement of the existing storm sewer system within the 18th Street corridor between Liberty Street and A Street, and within A Street between 18th Street and the first storm structure to the northwest in A Street. Replacement of the existing gravity sanitary sewer system includes gravity mains, 8" and 12", manholes, and associated sewer laterals, and replacement of the existing storm sewer system, includes piping, 18"-54", structures, and manholes. Additional site work includes concrete pavement patching, installation of concrete sidewalks and curb and gutter, asphalt pavement patching, and asphalt pavement milling and overlay, in areas where sanitary sewer and storm sewer systems are being installed Questions regarding this project must be submitted in writing via email to Suzan Sadler, Procurement Specialist II (ssadler@cityofchesapeake.net), (757) 382-6326, by 3:00 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2022. Bid Security in the amount of FIVE percent ( 5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The Owner reserves the right to waive minor non-substantive informalities in the Bid, to reject any/or all Bids, to award any Bid in whole or in part and award the Bid considered to be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner also reserves the right to negotiate with the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder should Bid exceed available funds by no more than 5%, in accordance with Chesapeake City Code Section 54-63(7).
