The CCUA Potable Reuse Demonstration Facility is an approximately 3,000 square foot pre-engineered metal building housing a twenty (20) gallon per minute advanced water treatment system. The carbon-based advanced treatment (CBAT) train consists of ozone, biologically activated carbon (BAC) filtration, ultrafiltration (UF), granular activated carbon (GAC) adsorption, and ultraviolet light (UV) disinfection, followed by sodium hypochlorite disinfection. The treatment processes are contained in the process area and the building also includes a meeting area for tours, restrooms, a wet lab area, and an electrical room.
