Description: BUILDING MAINTENANCE, INSTALLATION AND REPAIR SERVICES Carpentry Maintenance and Repair Services Furnish labor, materials and equipment necessary to install an interior wall with double doors; install electrical receptacles; and install split unit air conditioning system at Building K Library at Sanford B. Dole Middle School, 1803 Kamehameha IV Road, Honolulu, Hawaii 96819 (808) 305-5300. Summer School Schedule (Subject to change) 1. Dates/Locations for Summer School: a. To be held in Buildings A and B or C b. June 3 - July 15, 2022 c. Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Important Dates (SY 2022-23) Calendar Attached 1. July 26, 2022 - Teachers' First Day 2. July 26 - July 29, 2022 - Teachers' Work Days (No Students) 3. August 1, 2022 - Students' First D Wall With Double Doors To Enclose Small Area for MDF Equipment 1. Construct a new partition wall approximately eleven (11) feet high and fourteen (14) feet wide with double doors to enclose an existing area in the library near the workroom. This new wall will close the opening between existing wall cabinets and will run between a portion of the cabinet section and connect to the wall near the metal shelving. See pictures below. 2. Frame around the cabinet section that will be cut. Block the cut cabinet section with plywood. 3. Frame both sides of the wall with plywood for drywall. 4. Drywall both sides of interior wall. Wood studs to be used. 5. Paint wall with one (1) coat prime and one (1) finish coat. Color to be selected by school. 6. Install approximately six (6) foot by seven (7) foot double door. Door should open out towards the library workroom area. Right side is the active side. 7. Paint door with one (1) coat prime and one (1) finish coat. Color to be selected by school. 8. Surface bolted door hardware. 9. Sargent #8 or comparable cylindrical door lock to be installed and keyed to the Library building master and grand master key schedule to be provided by school upon commencement of the project. 10. Insulation and fire rated construction is not required. 11. All measurements should be field verified by contractor. Split Unit Air Conditioning System 12. Install one (1) 15K BTU wall mounted split system air conditioning unit. Before ordering equipment, provide specifications of A/C units to Project Coordinator for approval. The Fujitsu Halcyon or approved equal is specified for the split system unit. 13. Circuit boards must be coated with a manufacture approved coating to protect against insects such as geckos. Gecko board warranty is preferred. 14. All units may be Energy Star-rated, but not necessary. 15. If applicable, digital controls shall be wall mounted near the indoor unit. 16. All A/C units shall be installed with condensation drain lines. Drain lines can go straight to the ground. 17. All exposed piping shall be covered with a PVC cover specifically manufactured for protection purposes. Manufacturer specifications for piping covers (if any) are acceptable. 18. Coating of outdoor units for split systems is required. 19. Location of indoor split unit is on the wall with the window near the existing cabinets. See picture. 20. Location of outdoor unit is on the exterior wall under the left bay of windows near the vegetable tubs. The unit should be mounted high enough and piped to the wall near the right bay of windows where the interior unit will be installed.
