Inpatient MRI-2

The Inpatient MRI-2 project (The "Project") includes fit-up of an existing imaging room which was partially fit-up with temporary finishes when the "Expansion Building" was constructed approximately five (5) years ago. One MRI machine was purchased and installed at the time of initial construction, while the second MRI room remained vacant. The second MRI machine was recently approved for purchase. The equipment purchased is a Siemens 3T MRI. Radiology is seeking to increase capacity and expand imaging capabilities through addition of the 3T scanner to the imaging fleet. The existing future imaging room 3C112 is finished in a temporary state. The scope of work includes remodeling of room 3C112, and minor remodeling and updates to the associated shared control room 3C110B. The equipment is supported by an existing, adjacent equipment room 3C114 which will be fit up with Siemens equipment. Construction scope includes infrastructure connections and integration in accordance with Siemens final equipment drawings, which will be made part of the bid documents set. The 3T magnet will be delivered by Siemens late summer or early fall 2021. The GC partner will be expected to coordinate closely with the equipment provider and installers.
