Morrisville Carpenter Road Project

Consisting of one contract having the following principal items: The U-5618 Morrisville Carpenter Road project consists of approximately 1.32 miles of improvements to SR 3014. Improvements include resurfacing and grassed median installation on SR 3014 (Morrisville Carpenter Road) from SR 1613 (Davis Drive) to Old Savannah Drive (approximately 0.80 miles) and widening SR 3014 (Morrisville Carpenter Road) to four-lane divided curb and gutter typical section with a grassed median and sidewalks from Old Savannah Drive to the Norfolk Southern right-of-way southwest of NC HWY 54 (Chapel Hill Road) (approximately 0.52 miles). This project will also include approximately 0.08 miles of widening of Town Hall Drive, approximately 0.04 miles of new location roadway on Town Hall Drive, and approximately 0.11 miles of realigned roadway for Franklin Upchurch Street. Construction will also include culvert, storm drain, signals, retaining wall, and waterline improvements. Additional Town improvements (not under U-5618 funding) to be constructed with this project include approximately 0.06 miles of new location two-lane shoulder typical section roadway -Y10- Morrisville Square Driveway, widening of -Y17- (existing commercial drive), greenway at the corner of SR 3014 (Morrisville Carpenter Road) and Town Hall Drive, and brick sign wall at the corner of SR 3014 (Morrisville Carpenter Road) and Town Hall Drive.
