Calcasieu River Bridge - I-10 Bridge - Louisiana Department of Transportation

I-10 from I-10/I-210 West End to I-10/I-210 East End Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana The proposed project includes widening and infrastructure improvements to I-10 between the I-210 interchanges, including the Calcasieu River Bridge. The purpose of the proposed project is to improve system connectivity, traffic congestion, roadway and bridge deficiencies, and safety issues. The current bridge's clearance is 135 feet, but a height for the new bridge hasn't been determined. As of January 17, 2023, this project has received funding. The state Department of Transportation and Development is working on potential designs for a new bridge.In the first quarter of 2023, public-private partnership (P3) proposals will be requested. The state is expected to select a developer by the fourth quarter with construction slated for 2025.
