Description | Project has cancelled owner should re advertise later date Demolition of an existing building located on 201 W. 6th Street, Madera, CA, primarily constructed of CMU and measuring approximately 81'10 x 142 (11,620 square feet). Building is commonly referred to as Jail Annex Building. Contractor shall be responsible to coordinate and disconnect, decommission or relocate all electrical, gas, telephone, water, sewer, and all other existing utilities. Existing utilities shall be capped below grade and place in ground mounted boxes for future use if needed or relocate as shown on Attachment D. See Attachment A for photos of existing conditions. Note, photos are simply provided to give a general overview of the existing conditions and don't reflect every single space or items within the building. After demolition, contractor to grade native soil to flat level condition or match surrounding grades. Temporary construction fencing shall be part of scope of work. All contractual and technical questions should be directed to the Capital Projects Manager, Jorge Mendoza, at Jorge.mendoza@maderacounty.com. Questions shall be submitted on the REQUEST FOR CLARIFICATION form provided in the Contract Documents. Questions shall be received by the Project Manager, no later than 5:00 p.m. PDT, Thursday, October 22, 2020. Questions shall be submitted on the REQUEST FOR CLARIFICATION form provided in the Contract Documents The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the Contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder, copies of which are on file and will be made available to any interested party upon request. A copy of these rates shall be posted at the job site. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The County shall award the Contract for the Project to the bidder submitting the responsive lowest bid as determined from the base bid, and is deemed responsible by the County. The successful CONTRACTOR (after receiving the Notice to Proceed) shall have Sixty (60) calendar days to complete all work called for under the Contract Documents. The liquidated damages will be $1,500.00 per day for the project delays that are determined to be attributable to the CONTRACTOR. |
