Office Building Construction and MetaZoo Renovation Rebid

*As of November 14, 2022, a general contractor has been awarded. The Louisville Zoological Gardens is seeking a bid to construct a new office building behind the existing MetaZoo facility, and to do a renovation of the existing MetaZoo facility. The new office building will need to be constructed and have staff moved in before the renovations to the existing MetaZoo facility can begin. The attached documents will show the full scope of work for construction of the new office building, as well as the renovations that are to take place in the MetaZoo facility. Questions Due Date: Sep 6th 2022, 3:00 PM EDT Proposer is required to furnish a Proposal (Bid) Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of its base Proposal. This may be in the form of a Proposal (Bid) Bond, Certified Check or Cashier's Check. No personal checks will be accepted. The Proposal (Bid) Bond shall be supplied at the time of the Proposal closing. The successful Proposer must submit a performance bond satisfactory to the Metro Government executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Kentucky, or otherwise supplied, satisfactory to the Metro Government, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as it may be increased. The successful Proposer must submit a payment bond satisfactory to the Metro Government, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Kentucky, or otherwise supplied, satisfactory to the Metro Government, for the protection of all persons supplying labor and material to the Proposer or its subcontractors for the performance of the work provided for in this Proposal. The bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the original contract price. Proposer acknowledges that the resulting Agreement from this RFP is subject to Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government Ordinances 37.25-37.36 and failure to comply with the terms of those Ordinances will be cause for suspension, termination or cancellation of a contract executed hereunder, or rejection of Proposers Proposal.
