Y--Design/Build: Cape Lookout Residential Housing

Design build contract to demolish two trailers and build two new residential houses at Harkers Island, Cape Lookout National Seashore, NC. This requirement is to demolish two mobile home trailers and design and construct the required site development and construction of two new residential buildings. The NPS will provide a conceptual design that will need to be completed by an Architect licensed in the state of North Carolina. This will either be a designer that is in-house or subcontracted by the prime contractor. One of the new buildings is estimated to be around 2,000 sqft, duplex, each side with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The other building is estimated to be around 2,000 sqft, dorm style, with four bedrooms and two shared bathrooms. For this house one of the bathrooms needs to be accessible. All units will include a kitchen, a shared living spaces, and a washer dryer space. Both residential buildingswill need to be on piers a minimum of five feet above existing grade and include front porches along the street side for access to the units.
