Description | The Jicarilla Apache Housing Authority (JAHA) is accepting written proposals from qualified businesses or individuals to provide Natural Gas Service Line Installation Services for JAHA. Project Description: 1. Excavation of gas service line trench. 2. Installation of new gas service line with gas risers and connect to house. 3. Backfill of gas service line trench. 4. Pressure test new gas service line. Scope of Work: Contractor shall provide all material and equipment necessary to complete job. Contractor shall do NM811 utility line locate call for each site prior to excavation. Excavate new gas service line trench to a minimum depth of 18 from home to existing NM Gas meter riser. Install new polypipe gas service line with gas meter risers. Connect newly installed gas service line to existing home. Backfill and compact new gas service line trench. Perform pressure test of newly installed gas service line. Contractor is required to provide warranty for the workmanship for twelve (12) months from the date of completion of the project. All work completed shall be done according to IPC standards. Contractor will ensure that all equipment used during the project is in safe operating condition and all personnel on the job site will be given the appropriate safety equipment. JAHA reserves the right to stop all work if and unsafe conditions are found. Work area shall be cleaned of all debris at the end of each work week. JAHA Planning & Development staff will perform on-site inspections during work. The work to be performed under the Contract is on a project subject to Jicarilla Apache Nation Ordinance No. 2002-O-657-11, Indian Preference in Contracting and Employment, as may be amended from time to time. All entities submitting proposals and claiming Indian Preference must include documentation from the Nation showing that they are Indian-owned. In addition to the Nations Indian Preference requirements, the successful proposer must comply with the Copeland Act Requirements (29 CFR Part 3); 2 CFR Part 200 Certifications and HUD requirements related to reporting, patent rights, and/or copyrights and other rights to data; HUD procurement regulations; the JAHA Procurement Policy; and all other applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
