Description

Locations: 1350-1390 Willow Road, 925-1098 Hamilton Avenue, and 1005-1275 Hamilton Court. Scope: The community would include 1.6 million square feet of new office and meeting space, plus nearly 1.7 million square feet of residential development, up to 200,000 square feet of retail space and a 240-key hotel. Phase one includes construction of 600 residential units, 100,000 square feet of retail space that will include a 37,000-square-foot grocery store, and the four-acre park. Phase two calls for the construction of 55,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, a 430-space visitor parking garage, the half-acre town square, another 600 residential units, 600,000 square feet of office space, and the 1,750-space North Garage. Phase three is expected to include the boutique hotel, 110,000 square feet of retail space, the remaining 300 residential units, and 600,000 square feet of office space. Hart Howerton is the master planner for Willow Village. Ankrom Moisan Architects is handling residential design while Pickard Chilton is providing office design and Safdie Architects is serving as the meeting and collaboration space architect. As of July 2023, the project is under architectural review with the Planning Commission. Menlo Park City Council approved the project in 2022. The Final Environmental Impact Report was released in October 2022. The City of Menlo Park is currently reviewing the development plans and could make a decision regarding its approval later this year. The project is in the early stages of the environmental regulation approval process. The final project timeline starts infrastructure work in late 2023 and begins construction of the highly anticipated grocery store in 2025. The project is expected to be completed by 2029. *Project information, including timeline and contacts, has been obtained through public sources. The content management team continues to pursue additional details; however, the contact(s) listed have yet to disclose or confirm any information.
