Description

To Provide the Grover Cleveland Park Tennis Courts Improvements for the Essex County Department of Public Works as per specifications. Project completion to be (90) calendar days after notice to proceed upon approval by the Essex County Board of Commissioners No pre-bid conference for this project All questions must be submitted to the Purchasing Agent in writing at 465 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Room 335, Newark, NJ 07102, or via fax to 973-621-5109, no later than eight (8) business days prior to deadline for bid submission date as stated above. To furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, and services necessary for the conversion of existing four (4) tennis courts to two (2) tennis courts / four (4) pickle ball courts and otherrelated work as indicated on the drawings and/or specified herein. The following Standard Specifications and Codes shall be considered a part ofthis specification where such specifications are applicable, and shall include all current changes and revisions: o New Jersey Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Current Edition. o American Society for Testing and Materials. o Ordinances and Laws ofthe State ofNew Jersey, County and Municipality within which the work is being performed. o Sports Court Construction Guidelines" as published by the American Sports Builders Association www.sportsbuilders.org. Current Edition. Work under this project shall include, but not limited to: => Installation and Maintenance of Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Measures => Milling and Paving ofExisting Four (4) Tennis Court => Furnish an Installation ofAthletic Sports Color Coating System => Furnish and Installation of all New Tennis and Pickle Court Amenities, i.e., nets, posts, etc. => Convert Existing Sports Lighting To New LED Upgrade => Installation ofPark Furnishings, i.e., Park Benches, Trash/Recycle Receptacles, etc. => Furnish and Installation ofNew Chain Link Fence and Gates => Furnish and Installation ofNew Drinking Fountain/Water Bottle Filling Station => Tree Trimming GENERAL NOTES: 65 All site work and ground improvement items shall be in accordance with the latest edition ofthe New Jersey Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. Contractor shall submit all drawings, shop drawings, cut sheets, calculations and details needed for all necessary items for review and approval by the Engineer. Contractor shall include the cost for all labor and materials associated with each item, even though not specifically mentioned herein, to complete said item in a complete satisfactorily manner. The contractor shall coordinate all work specified with an appointed representative of the owner to perform the work during a period and in a manner acceptable to the owner. No separate payment will be made for mobilization, demobilization, permits, performance, and payment bonds. All costs thereto shall be included within the various items in the proposal. Contractor shall be responsible for the safety ofPark users during the entire duration ofthe Project. Work shall include all safety measures, i.e., temporary fencing, safety signs, equipment, etc. No separate payment will be made for the protection of park users and/or workmanship. All costs associated with this shall be included in the various items in the proposal.
