Description | Conduct a site investigation and develop a preliminary design to provide the means for reliable stream flow diversion, accurate stream flow monitoring, and fish passage at the Wenas Irrigation District (WID) facility at the split between North Fork and South Fork Wenas Creek (sometimes known as Dry Creek). The design will also include modifications to two private irrigation diversions upstream of the WID facility to provide fish passage, screening, irrigation pipeline installation, and flow monitoring capabilities. Initial efforts of the project will center on a site investigation and examination of existing data. This will aid in the development of feasible alternatives that provide accurate flow manipulation, water measurement and fish passage at the WID facility, as well as fish passage and screening for the private gravity diversion, and proper screening for the private pump diversion. The alternatives will be reviewed by NYCD in collaboration with a Technical Work Group (TWG) of stakeholders to select a preferred alternative that will be developed into a preliminary design, including report, drawings, and cost estimate. |
