Description | The scope of Work of each requested alternate is described in the Bidding Documents. Bids shall be submitted only on the basis of materials, products, or equipment specified in the Bidding Documents, or subsequently approved and included in Addenda pursuant to formal written requests for substitution. Alternate Bids shall include, without limitation, the difference in price (addition or deduction) from the Base Bid, for substituting, omitting or changing materials or construction required by the Bidding Documents as part of the Base Bid construction and work. The difference in price shall include, without limitation, all omissions, additions, and adjustments of all trades as may be necessary because of each change from the Base Bid construction and Work. Each Contractor will be required to coordinate pertinent related Work and modify surrounding Work as required to complete the Project under each alternate designated in the Contract. In the event that incorporation of a substituted item or assembly into the Work will require revisions or additions to the Work of other construction contracts, the Contractor electing to use such materials, products, or assembly shall include the cost of such revisions or additions to the Work in its Bid. Each Contractor is required to submit an Alternate Bid for each alternate The work scheduled at the Agricultural Center includes renovations and upgrades to selected areas of the existing building and select site modifications. The exterior work includes removal of the existing insulated metal panel, installation of a new metal stud exterior wall and panelized façade. The interior renovations and alterations include demolition of the existing selected areas, construction of new office space and mezzanines, as well as modifications to the existing HVAC systems, upgrades to the lighting and electrical systems, new finishes, as well as other Work indicated in the Contract Documents.
