Description | As of July 28, 2022, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid. For Haz-Mat Abatement and Demolition of Existing City Owned Building No bid will be received unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City. All bid forms including all schedules attached thereto must be filled in and completed. The work consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as described in detail in the Bidding and Contract Documents, Plans and Specifications to construct the project. Major work components include Haz-Mat Abatement and Demolition of Existing City Owned Building at 707 Lark Ellen Ave, West Covina, CA 91791. No allowances for cost adjustments will be made if a Bidder fails to adequately examine the Project site before submitting a Bid. Each bid must be accompanied by cash or a certified check or a cashiers check or bidders bond made payable to the City of West Covina for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total contract price. In accordance with provisions of Section 3300 of the California Public Contract Code, City of West Covina has determined that the contractor shall possess a possess an B or C-21 valid California Contractor s License. Failure to possess such license may render the bid as non-responsive and bar the award of the contract to that non-responsive Bidder. The successful Contractor and subcontractors will be required to possess business licenses from the City of West Covina. This project is subject to the requirements of SB 854. Prevailing wages shall be paid to all workers in accordance with California Labor Code 1771. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any minor or technical discrepancies or irregularities. All questions regarding this bid shall be directed via PlanetBids Portal, no later than 7 calendar days prior to bid due date and time. |
