Description

Furnish and install two thousand four hundred thirty (2,430) 8 diameter by 40 long nanofiltration (NF) membrane elements for installation in five (5) 2.9 MGD NF treatment trains with eighty-one (81) center-port pressure vessels per train. Work includes but is not limited to removal of the existing NF membranes from existing center-port pressure vessels, used membrane disposal, cleaning and preparation of empty pressure vessels to receive new membranes, refurbishment of existing membrane train sample panels, installation of new membranes, furnishing and installing all new brine seals, o-rings, permeate adapter plugs, interconnectors, membrane end-cap adaptors, seals and spacers for all pressure vessels in the 1st and 2nd stages of all five (5) treatment trains as necessary to provide a complete and functional membrane replacement. Additional work shall include furnishing fifty-four (54) 8 diameter by 40 long NF membranes for installation in one (1) NF pilot unit with nine (9) centerport pressure vessels. Membrane replacement work shall include membrane train start-up and performance testing, and all testing and disinfection required to successfully place the treatment trains into service in accordance with the bid documents, membrane manufacturer instructions, applicable regulations and permit requirements. Clarification and changes to the bid documents will occur by addendum. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
