Parking Deck “A” Improvements

Parking Deck “A”, located at 42 Au burn Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30303, currently has several issues on the top level of the deck. The turning radius is currently inadequate to exit and enter the top level, and the deck’s perimeter walls fa ll short of the 42” high minimum requirement. To correct these is sues, the island housing the t op deck’s gate controls has been redesigned with a narrower foot print, a portion of the perimeter wall will be cut back to increase the turning radius, and the adjacent roadway used to enter the deck will be modified to correct slope issues once the wall is cut back. Traffic flow in this area was also redesigned with new striping and bollards to slightly redirect traffic entering and exiting the top deck, an d a painted guardrail will be added to the existing perimeter walls to meet the 42” high requirement.
