Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District seeks a contractor to provide solid waste collection dumpster service for Blawkhawk Park Recreation Area, near De Soto, Wisconsin. The contractor will be providing dumpsters and collection of both garbage and co-mingled recyclables for one year (6 months of Peak Season, 6 months of Off-Peak Season), with four (4) one-year options exercisable by the Government. During Peak Season (May 1 - October 31), the contractor shall provide one (1) eight (8) cubic yard, and four (4) six (6) cubic yard covered garbage dumpsters. All dumpsters shall be picked up weekly, on either Monday or Tuesday, between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The contractor shall provide one (1) six (6) cubic yard covered dumpster for co-mingled recyclables, which shall be picked up bi-weekly on any weekday. During Off-Peak Season (November 1 - April 30), four (4) garbage dumpsters will be removed from regular service and stored within the park or removed from the park (contractor’s choice). The remaining trash and recycling dumpsters shall remain in service. Whenever dumpster fills, the Contractor will be given notice for pickup within one week. Typically, in years past this pickup is less than once per month for trash, and twice per season for recyclables.
