Description | The work to be performed under this contract includes the relocation of an existing 2-story wood frame house located at 45 Chestnut Street in Windsor Locks, Connecticut to a new vacant lot at 39 Chestnut Street. The work includes lifting the 2-story wood frame structure, brick chimney, front porch and rear deck, moving the house across the back yard of the adjacent property at 43 Chestnut Street and setting it on a new foundation approximately 150 feet south of its current location. Work also includes removing a 60" tree to make room for the relocation, removing the existing foundation, backfilling, topsoiling and seeding. Work also includes designing and installing a new concrete foundation for the relocated house at 39 Chestnut Street, disconnecting existing gas, water, sewer, electric, telephone and cable utility services, reconnecting services at the new location, installing new external stairs and internal basement stairs, new cellar hatchway, new bituminous driveway and concrete walks to match the existing site. The work also includes replacing rear yard fence enclosure, replacing landscape beds and transplanting or replacing plantings to match existing, and seeding and mulching disturbed areas to establish lawn. The work also includes installing new drainage pipes for roof and footing drains, grading and vegetation clearing to install drainage outlet down a steep slope. The project consists of providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to completion of the work shown on the plans and described in the specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: erosion control, house moving, demolition and disposal, coordination with utility custodians, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC work, stair construction, trench excavation, pipe laying, backfill, compaction, landscaping and field verifying. |
