Description | Roof replacement projects will include: • the complete tear off removal and hauling off site of existing roofing and roof insulation, • removal and re-installation of roof-mounted mechanical equipment, • furnishing and installing new equipment curbs as required to meet roof membrane manufacturer’s minimum flashing height requirements, • removal and replacement of all existing wood blocking, at roof perimeters and at all other locations where damaged or deteriorated. Replace all copings with new metal copings per specifications. • repair concrete or metal roof decks as required (see Unit Prices), • installation of new 2-ply, modified bituminous membrane roof system, new cover board, new roof insulation, new vapor barrier on concrete decks, new edge metal, metal copings, gutters and downspouts, and related flashings at perimeters, • removal and installation of roof mounted exhaust fans and related structural supports, and proper drainage of the new roof systems to eliminate ponding. • Provisions shall be made to ensure the new roof system has proper drainage by use of tapered insulation, crickets, etc., as appropriate. Ponding of water on the new roof system is not acceptable and will result in rejection of the completed roof. Division XI, Central Kitchen: Roof replacement projects will include: • the tear off removal and hauling off site of existing roofing membrane and salvage existing insulation. • removal and re-installation of roof-mounted mechanical equipment, • furnishing and installing new equipment curbs as required to meet roof membrane manufacturer’s minimum flashing height requirements, • removal and replacement of all existing wood blocking at roof perimeters and at all other locations where damaged or deteriorated, • repair metal roof decks as required (see Unit Prices), • installation of new 2-ply, modified bituminous membrane roof system, new cover board, new additional 2.25” ISO roof insulation, new copings and related flashings on existing roof decks, • removal and installation of roof mounted exhaust fans and related structural supports, and Roof insulation to meet current R-Rating requirements. Ponding of water on the new roof system is not acceptable and will result in rejection of the completed roof. MHTC Bootcamp – Metal Roof (1 Building): Roof replacement project will include: • the complete tear off removal and hauling off site of existing metal roofing and roof insulation, • removal and re-installation of roof-mounted mechanical equipment, • furnishing and installing new equipment curbs as required to meet roof membrane manufacturer’s minimum flashing height requirements, • removal and replacement of all existing wood blocking at roof perimeters and at all other locations where damaged or deteriorated, • repair metal roof decks as required (see Unit Prices), • installation of new hydrostatic standing seam metal system, new water barrier membrane, new roof insulation, new metal flashings, gutters, and downspouts. • removal and installation of roof mounted exhaust fans, related structural supports, and provide crickets on the high side of all penetrations to promote proper drainage. |
