Description | As of July 10, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The County of Delaware's Department of Public Works is soliciting proposals for SITE IMPROVEMENT at FORMER DON GUANELLA PROPERTY (eDPW-053123). Unless otherwise provided, in any supplement to these instructions to respondent, no respondent shall modify, withdraw, or cancel the proposal or any part thereof for sixty (60) days after the time designated for the receipt of proposal in the advertisement or Request for Proposal. Jackson, Director of Central Purchasing at (610) 891-4427 This project involves construction of a 40-car gravel-surfaced parking lot on the County park property located on Road in Marple Township, including site preparations, grading, paving and landscape improvements. Questions may be asked through the PennBID system. The final date to submit questions is May 22, 2023 at 5:00 PM. The Work shall be completed within sixty (60) calendar days from the issuance of the notice to proceed. Notice to Proceed is expected to be issued by approximately June 23, 2023. Each Bidder must inform himself fully of the conditions relating to the construction and labor under which the work will be performed; failure to do so will not relieve the successful Bidder of his obligation to furnish all material and labor necessary to carry out provisions of the Contract Documents and to complete the contemplated work for the consideration set forth in his bid. Bidders are notified that it is obligatory upon them to obtain by their own means, information which they may require as to the existing physical conditions and, in particular, as to subsurface and groundwater conditions. Bids for all types of excavation are to be based on Unclassified Excavation which shall include all types of materials which are encountered, including, but not limited to weathered, decomposed, and sound bedrock; soil, gravel, and boulders; debris of any kind and organic matter. |
