Center Greens - City of Anaheim

This project will transform currently underutilized and unattractive areas of the park to provide new amenities that will serve multiple benefits and opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. Improvements include a new skate park, youth challenge course, tot lot, upgraded basketball court, and butterfly garden. A Master Plan was developed in 2019 for Center Greens renovations. As of April 2021, the project will be built in phases, with the first phase of improvements focusing on the area adjacent to Broadway. Phase 1 improvements will include: children's play area, youth challenge course, butterfly garden, new skate park,-an upgraded basketball court, meandering pathways, shaded seating and picnic areas, and other park amenities. Further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. As of July 2022, the project is included in the city's 2021-2025 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Contractor bidding is expected to commence in the late summer of 2022.
