Description

Board of Education, Norridge School District 80, Norridge, Cook County, Illinois, hereinafter known as Owner, is seeking bids for 2022 Plumbing and Water Pipe Replacement at Giles and Leigh elementary schools located in Norridge, Illinois. 1. This is not a lump sum bid rather it is to solicit hourly rates and a team that will work both during and off the school year. Work times can include school day while students are present with appropriate coordination. Available windows of work include: Evenings and shifts outside the school day, weekends, recognized holidays, school specific holidays, school days with limited attendance. Work plans and look ahead schedules will be required to coordinate with the district and to ensure student safety in addition to construction progress. Plumbing materials such as piping and valves can be procured from a local plumbing supply company that will draw upon a school district account. 2. LUMP SUM BID: Install New RPZ at Giles and Leigh Schools The Board of Education, Norridge School District 80 reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding procedures and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interest of the Owner. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing rate of wage to all laborers, workmen and mechanics working on public funded projects. If during the time period of work, these rates changes, the contractor shall be responsible for additional costs without any change to the contract amount. Certificate of Insurance, as required by the Owner, will be required from the successful bidder. District performed background checks will be required for all on site personnel. The Architect will transmit to prospective bidders of record any addenda the Architect considers necessary in response to questions arising at the pre-bid conference.
