Description

The work will consist of the following: 1. Cold milling/planning of existing asphalt pavement. 2. Removal of raised pavement joints, resulting from pavement movement over the many decades that have passed since the original concrete pavement was constructed. 3. The cleaning/filling/sealing of existing joints found within the limits of the concrete pavement found in the project area. 4. The removal and replacement of broken pavement, expected to be found in isolated areas of the existing pavement that is being rehabilitated. 5. The leveling of sunken areas of concrete pavement with hot mix asphalt pavement. 6. The application of an asphalt and stone surface treatment atop the prepared concrete pavement surfaces. 7. The application of a 2-inch hot mix asphalt overlay atop the surface treatment; and (8) the remarking/restriping of the pavement surface. Other incidental items of work necessary for the successful completion of the project will also be required.
