Description | Project Description: The Project consists of 10,000 sqft of interior renovation of an existing hospital. The renovation includes the relocation of the obstetrics department, renovation of the hospital lab and fnishes upgrade of the sleep lab. Work to be in multiple phases to keep the facility in operation at all times throughout construction. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. This is a Multiple Prime Contract Project consisting of the following prime contracts: a. Bid Package 01 - General Construction b. Bid Package 02 - Electrical, Low Voltage, and Fire Alarm c. Bid Package 03 - Mechanical and Plumbing d. Bid Package 04 - Fire Suppression e. Bid Package 05 - Controls Bids are to be enclosed in a sealed envelope with the following information labeled on the front of the envelope: 1. Name of project 2. Date and time of bid opening 3. Addenda received. C. The following documentation and certifcations forms will be required along with the bid form. Failure to submit properly executed certifcations will result in disqualifcation of the bid: 1. Bid Bond 2. Certifcation for Contracts, Grants, and Loans 3. Compliance Statement 4. Contractor Qualifcations 5. Certifcation Regarding Debarment D. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. E. No bids may be modified or withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. The Owner's Intent of Award will be announced within that period. 1.3 BID SECURITY A. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. The Bid Security shall be a bid bond or certified check, payable to the Owner. 1.6 TIME OF COMPLETION A. The successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. The anticipated Construction Schedule is as follows: 1. Anticipated Commencement of Work: March 2024 2. Anticipated Completion of Work: August 2025 A. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. B. The successful Bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract prior to execution of the Contract. C. The Owner may make investigations as deemed necessary to determine the qualifications and the ability of the Bidders to perform the work. D. The Owner reserves the right to reject Bids in whole or |
