C1BG--(598-414) Construct New OI&T Building Minor Design - North Little Rock

The Architectural/Engineering (A/E) team shall investigate and propose a minimum of two location options at the North Little Rock campus for consideration and selection by CAVHS. Both potential locations are generally in the area southwest of Fourth Street and west of Quarter 12 on the southwest side of the campus. The first potential location is in parking lot 9. The design shall take considerations for relocating solar panels, and any parking spaces taken will need to be replaced. Another location for consideration is in the open area southwest of parking lot 9 and west of Quarter 12. The design shall take considerations for redesigning the walking path and parking. 1) The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is transitioning to a new electronic health record system. The Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program is being implemented nationwide. In support of the EHRM, Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) has a requirement to design and subsequently award a construction contract for a new Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) Building on station at their campus in North Little Rock (NLR), Arkansas. 2) Currently, OI&T has staff and equipment which is located in (but not necessarily limited to) Building 7, Building 34, Building 35, Building 58, Building 102, and Building 170 at the NLR campus. The buildings and/or rooms are older structures and not originally designed to support OI&T functions. All staff and equipment will be relocated and consolidated in the new OI&T Building.
