| Description | Construction of the Trani Roof Repair and HVAC Replacement located at 1000 W. Cary Street, VCU Monroe Park Campus, Richmond, Virginia. The project is generally described as the replacement of the rooftop air handling units and roof system of the Trani Life Sciences building on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. The new rooftop air-handling units shall be provided on new rooftop structural platforms in a phased sequence to limit HVAC downtime to the extent practical. Roofing demolition work includes the removal of the existing low-slope, single-ply EPDM membrane roof system including insulation, wood blocking, edge metal, and primary and overflow roof drains, down to the existing concrete roof deck. New work includes the installation of a single-ply PVC membrane roof system. The new roofing system includes the installation of wood blocking, tapered polyisocyanurate rigid board insulation, fiberglass-faced gypsum cover board, edge metal, flashings, and primary and overflow roof drains. |
