Description | Charlotte Water is building a new warehouse that requires storage equipment such as pallet racks, shelving, flammable cabinets, and industrial parts drawers. One company is sought to perform turnkey services including load verification, type and quantities of equipment, layout and design, facilitation of building permitting, procurement, and installation. Installation is expected to be completed in Spring 2023. Charlotte Water is building a new Field Operations Center (Facility) at its Zone 4 location at 4100 W Tyvola Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28208. The new Facility will include a warehouse and a parts storage room, both areas which require outfitting with storage equipment. The estimated areas of the warehouse and the parts storage room are 19,850 square feet and 495 square feet, respectively. Construction of the Facility is ongoing and expected to be completed in time to allow for this Project to be completed (including installation and inspections) by Spring 2023. Charlotte Water, a department of the City of Charlotte, North Carolina, is now accepting Proposals for Zone 4 Warehouse Storage Equipment Project. The requirements for submitting a Proposal are stated in the attached Request for Proposals (the "RFP"). Please review them carefully. Each Company is solely responsible for the timely delivery of their Proposal. Companies accept all risks of late delivery regardless of fault. In addition, Companies accept all risks if file is corrupted, incorrect, incomplete, or not attached. Any Proposal received after the date and time specified, regardless of the mode of delivery, shall not be considered. The Procurement Officer will confirm receipt of Proposals to all Companies via email within 24 hours of the Proposal deadline. RFP questions must be directed to Ryan Lingholm, Procurement Division JULY 19, 2022 Submission of Written Questions. Questions are due by 10:00 a.m. EST AUGUST 2022 Evaluation. The Evaluation Committee will assess each Proposal and conduct evaluation activities with Companies. SEPTEMBER 2022 Contract Award by City Manager. (anticipated) SEPTEMBER 2022 Services commence. Company begins providing the Services. (anticipated) There are two (2) ways to ask questions about this RFP: (1) submit a question in writing to the Procurement Officer at the e-mail address listed below; or (2) ask a question at the Pre-Proposal Conference. Other than these permitted methods, Companies should refrain from contacting City staff prior to the Proposal deadline. The City is not bound by any statements, representations or clarifications regarding this RFP other than those provided in writing by the Procurement Officer.
