Description | MCMINNVILLE WATER & LIGHT HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL DRILLING (HDD): NE DUNN PLACE CONDUIT INSTALLATION In accordance with ORS 279C.375(1) award shall be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. All bids shall be valid for 60 days after bid opening. The work is a public works project subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870 or 40 U.S.C. Section 3141, et seq.; prevailing wage rate of pay does apply to this Project. The awarded Contractor is required to have a Public Works Bond on file with the Oregon CCB before work begins. The Project consists of furnishing all qualified professional personnel, supervision, construction labor, equipment and specified materials for the installation of 900 feet of 2 - 2" and 130 feet of 1 - 2" schedule 40 or HDPE electrical conduits by means of horizontal directional drilling (boring). Contractor will also be required to install one utility vault with non-slip lid and concrete sidewalk. All Work shall be substantially completed 90 days after issuance of Notice to Proceed to the awarded Contractor. There will not be a pre-bid conference for this project. If a Contractor would like to schedule a site visit or obtain solicitation documents email MW&L's Purchasing Manager at cch@mc-power.com Contractors must be qualified in accordance with the applicable parts of ORS 279C in order to enter into a contract with the Owner for public work in Oregon and shall have a minimum of five years' experience on projects of similar size and complexity to this Work. Bids must comply with the requirements listed in Section 00100, Instructions to Bidders, and include each completed item described in subsection 2of this Section 00100 in order to be considered responsive. Non-responsive bids will be rejected. No bid will be received or considered by the Owner unless the bid form contains, or is accompanied by, a statement by the bidder, as a part of the bid that the provisions required by ORS 279C.838 and 279C.840 pertaining to prevailing wages shall be included in this contract. Contractor licensing under ORS 468A.720 for asbestos abatement is not a requirement of this Project. Each bid must contain a statement as to whether the bidder is a resident bidder as defined in ORS 279A.120. Bidder shall be registered with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board in accordance with the provisions of ORS 279C.365. McMinnville Water & Light may reject any Bid not in compliance with the contract provisions and all prescribed Public Contracting procedures and requirements, including the requirement to demonstrate the Bidder's responsibility under ORS 279C.375(3)(b), and may reject for good cause all Bids after finding that doing so is in the public interest.
